Military Medal 'At MOUQUET FARM on 3rd September, 1916, this N.C.O. carried Aeroplane Flares up to the captured position at the Farm under heavy shell fire. Upon returning he carried ammunition from KAYE'S DUMP to the firing line under fire. Between 1st/3rd September, 1916, he set a fine example in leadership conducting forward ration and water parties under shell fire.'
