Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during operations near HARBONNIERES, East of VILLERS-BRETONNEUX on 9th August, 1918. Private JAGGS was No. 1 of a Lewis gun team and led his section into action with great skill and determination. He rushed two enemy machine gun nests, firing from the hip as he went. Having accounted for 12 of the enemy in this way the rest, 8 in number, were taken prisoner. He has frequently been mentioned by his Company Commander for his skill and initiative as a Lewis gunner.'
