Embarked Fremantle on board HMAT 'Katuna', 28 November 1915; disembarked Suez, ex-H.M.A.T. 'Geelong', 18 December 1916.

Admitted to No 8 Field Ambulance, Ferry Post, then transferred to Acting Casualty Clearing Station, Ferry Post, 25 May 1916 (influenza); discharged, 26 May 1916; rejoined 32nd Bn, Moascar, 29 May 1916.

Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 17 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 23 June 1916.

Reported missing, 20 July 1916.

Posted as missing for 3 months and struck off strength, 20 October 1916.

Court of Enquiry, held in the field, 20 July 1916, pronounced fate as 'Killed in Action, 20 July 1916'.
