Military Medal 'At HOOGE, on 20th September, 1917, during the attack on GLENCORSE WOOD, Pte. JEFFREY whilst exposed to intense artillery fire, displayed splendid courage and marked devotion to duty in tending and evacuating wounded. His work greatly aided the cleaning up of the Battlefield. Later during the consolidation of our position, his assistance was at all times solid and of the greatest value and calls for high commendation.'
