'During the last two years this Warrant Officer has held the appointment of Battalion R.Q.M.S. During the period his energy and personal supervision of the interior organisation of the Battalion has been constant. His great personal attention to the feeding of the troops whether out of, or in the line, has resulted in a very high standard in that direction, and his services with respect to the organisation and maintenance of supplies and equipment have been most valuable and assisted in no small degree to the efficiency of his unit.'
