Meritorious Service Medal 'During the operations from 8th August, 1918 to 5th October, 1918, this N.C.O. rendered sterling service as Transport Corporal. At MONT ST. QUENTIN on 1st September, 1918, and MONTBREHAIN on 5th October, 1918, he had charge of the ration limbers and caried out his duties fearlessly. His work extending over 2 1/2 years has been most reliable and he has been conscientious and faithful at all times.'
