Wounded in action, France, 10 September 1917 (gun shot wound, shoulder and left hip); admitted to 3rd Australian General Hospital, Abbeville, 12 September 1917; to 5th Convalescent Depot, Cayeux, 5 October 1917; to Australian General Base Depot, 11 October 1917; rejoined unit, Belgium, 24 October 1917.
