Distinguished Conduct Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and resource while commanding two platoons which had lost their officers near Rozieres, 9 August, 1918. He personally gained touch with the unit of the flank. On the way he encountered a post of the enemy, which he boldly rushed, capturing the garrison.'
