Disembarked Alexandria, 28 December 1915 (general Gallipoli evacuation). Found guilty, Tel el Kebir, 7 January 1916, of (1) being absent from Camp, 6 January; (2) not complying with an order of a Superior Officer: awarded 14 days' detention. Found guilty, Tel el Kebir, 30 January 1916, of insubordination: awarded 21 days' detention. Transferred to 54th Bn, 14 February 1916. Rejoined 54th Bn from detention, 25 February 1916.
