Military Medal 'At HOOGE, FRANCE, on 20th September, 1917, during the advance on GLENCORSE WOOD Pte. JONES carried out the duties of Stretcher Bearer. Under intense artillery fire he displayed marked courage in tending men who were wounded. He was largely instrumental in the speedy evacuation of wounded from the battle field. He set a fine example to his comrades.'
