War service: embarked for Gallipoli from Alexandria, 25 August 1915. Transferred to 6th Light Horse Regiment, and taken on strength, D Squadron, 2 October 1915. Admitted to 13th Casualty Clearing Station, Gallipoli (rheumatism), 6 November 1915; transferred to HS 'Delta', 20 November 1915; to 17th General Hospital, Alexandria, 26 November 1915; discharged to duty, 8 January 1916. Marched into 12th Light Horse Regiment, Tel el Kebir, 26 April 1916.
