Admitted to 3rd Field Ambulance, 19 April 1917; transfererd to Divisional Rest Station, 20 April 1917 (influenza); to 56th Casualty Clearing Station, 30 April 1917; rejoined Bn, in the field, 10 May 1917.

Wounded in action, 20 September 1917 (gun shot wound, back, left buttock), and admitted to 6th Field Ambulance; transferred same day to 10th Casualty Clearing Station; to 83rd General Hospital, Boulogne, 21 September 1917; to England, 24 September 1917, and admitted to Shorncliffe Military Hospital.
