Military Medal

'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during the operations near BRAY on 22nd August, 1918. As stretcher bearer, Private KIDSON did exceptionally fine work. In the early stages of the attack, the Company came under extremely severe shell fire, he immediately dressed the wounded in the open, and, with total disregard for danger continued to carry the wounded back to the R.A.P. through the enemy barrage until the casualties were all clear. Several men undoubtedly owe their lives to the bravery and devotion of Private KIDSON.'
