Meritorious Service Medal

'Sergeant LANG enlisted on 18th January 1915 and served on GALLIPOLI with 21st Battalion, and served with the 57th Battalion. He transferred to the 58th Battalion on 31st July 1917 and has since performed the duties of Pioneer Sergeant. he has carried out the multitudinous and varied tasks allotted to him, many times under fire, with the greatest skill and cheerfulness. He sets a high standard of zeal and devotion to duty to all with whom he comes into contact and in consequence the work of the Battalion Pioneers is of the highest order.'
