Military Medal 'On the nights 14-15 and 15-16 February 1916 during the operations at 'The bluff' he was in charge of a motor lorry delivering detonated grenades and bombs to WOODCOTE FARM from KRUISTRAAT through YPRES. On one trip he conveyed rations and SAA from a wagon whose horses had been killed to 'Lancashire Dump' 400 yards past WOODCOTE FARM.'
