Sick to hospital, 22 February 1918; rejoined unit from hospital, 24 February 1918 (no further details on file).

Wounded in action (second occasion), 2 September 1918 (gun shot wound, left thigh); invalided to England, 4 September 1918, and admitted to Royal Victoria Hospital, Netley, 5 September 1918.

Commenced return to Australia on board 'City of Exeter', 15 January 1919; disembarked Fremantle, 20 February 1919; discharged (medically unfit), Perth, 8 April 1919.
