Wounded in action, 1 February 1917 (gun shot wound, side and chest), and admitted to 45th Casualty Clearing Station, and transferred same day to 1/1 South Midlands Division Casualty Clearing Station; to Ambulance Train No 21, 2 February 1917, and admitted to 6th General Hos[pital, Rouen, 3 February 1917; transferred to Base Details, Rouen, 4 March 1917; rejoined unit, in the field, 16 March 1917.

Wounded in action (second occasion), 1 May 1917 (shrapnel wound, buttock), and admitted to 5th Australian Field Ambulance, and transferred same day to 3rd Australian Casulaty Clearing Station; to Ambulance Train No 16, 2 May 1917, and admitted to 1st Australian General Hospital, Rouen, 3 May 1917; transferred to 2nd Convalescent Depot, Rouen, 21 May 1917; rejoined unit, in the field, 19 June 1917.

Wounded in action (third occasion), Belgium, 20 September 1917 (gun shot wound, leg and abdomen); admitted to 6th Australian Field Ambulance, and transferred same day to 10th Casualty Clearing Station.

Died of wounds, 21 September 1917.
