War service: Egypt, Gallipoli, Western Front Embarked Alexandria to join the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force, Gallipoli, 2 March 1915. Admitted to 2nd Field Ambulance Dressing Station, 14 August 1915 (febrile), and transferred to Casualty Clearing Station; to HS 'Valdivia', 12 August 1915, and transferred to Malta and admitted to St George's Hospital, 20 August 1915; transferred to All Saints' Hospital, Alexandria, 28 August 1915. Embarked Alexandria to rejoin the MEF, 18 October 1915; rejoined Permanent Beach Party, Anzac, 6 November 1915. Disembarked Alexandria, 29 December 1915 (general Gallipoli evacuation).
