'During the attack on LIHONS on August 11th, 1918 Private LITTLE was on two occasions the foremost man in actually rushing enemy machine guns which were causing many casualties in an advance across an open stretch of country. He himself killed four of the enemy. He inspired everyone by his fine fighting spirit and remarkable courage.'
