Meritorious Service Medal 'FRANCE. During period 22nd September, 1917, to 24th February, 1918. This N.C.O. has always acted with great gallantry and determination in carrying out his duties. His devotion to duty and general good conduct have al all times been most praiseworthy. He has shown marked ability and resource in overcoming obstacles with which he has been confronted in the carrying out of his duties. He has had continuous service with the A.I.F. since 29th August, 1914, and is in all respects a thoroughly efficient N.C.O.'
