Military Medal 'On 4th October, 1917, when in charge of a stretcher party in the neighbourhood of ZONNEBEKE exhibited marked gallantry. On two occasions he had to pass through heavy barrage, but by his coolness and courage managed on both occasions to get his patient safely to the next relay post.'
