Military Medal 'During the atack on POLYGON WOOD east of YPRES on 20th September, 1917, Pte. LOCKE was employed as a Company Eunner during the advance. He continually carried messages of utmost importance through heavy barrages to forward posts and Battalion Headquarters and showed fine resource and determination. His work was highly commended by his Company Commander.'
