Military Medal 'At VILLERET on the 18th September, 1918, Cpl. LOVE was in charge of a Lewis Gun Section during the advance. Seeing the platoon he was supporting was temporarily checked by machine gun fire, he immediately worked round to a flank under a heavy fire and brought his Gun into action. is enabled the platoon he was supporting to advance. On arrival at the Line of Exploitation, this N.C.O. observed enemy machine gun crew bringing their gun into action, and with the boldest initiative, this N.C.O. went forward single handed and after shooting two of the enemy with his revolver, the remainder (about fifteen) surrendered. This N.C.O.'s conduct throughout the advance was most exemplary, and his cool judgment was one of the means whereby the operations was brought to successful issue.'
