Military Medal 'At WESTHOEK, 2nd to 4th October, 1917. These Drivers [LOTON and 3588 H. MITCHELL] have been conspicuous in devotion to their work and horses carying ammunition in the short time available - setting a fine example of gallantry and enthusiasm. The result of the work of the Drivers was that the Battery had 8,000 rounds on the morning of the attack (4/10/17) of which they had salvaged 1,000 rounds. Driver MITCHELL was wounded.'
