Military Medal 'This man on two occasions on afternoon of 27th September, 1917 at POLYGON WOOD near YPRES carried messages back to Bearer relays under heavy fire and by his courage brought up the necessary squads of bearers to evacuate the wounded from a congested R.A.P. He had been on duty from night of 25th/26th September, 1917.
