Meritorious Service Medal

'For meritorious service during the period 25th February to 17th September, 1918 this Non Commissioned Officer has been continuously employed as a Bombing Instructor, and, during operations, on forward ammunition dumps. Whilst acting as an Instructor he did on one occasion avert what might have been a serious accident. His work on ammunition dumps has often had to be carried out under most trying and dangerous conditions. He has consistently worked throughout keenly and well, and his conduct has been an excellent example to the men working under him.'
