Military Cross 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He led his troop in a counter attack with dash and initiative seizing a bluff occupied by the enemy, and capturing over 100 prisoners, as well as one machine gun and some automatic rifles. He showed fine leadership which carried the attack through without loss to his troop.'
