Proceeded overseas to France, 24 July 1916; taken on strength, 6th Field Artillery Brigade, 8 April 1917. To hospital, 25 June 1917 (Bronchitis; gas); transferred to England, 13 July 1917 (tubercular lung);admitted to Tooting Military Hospital, 14 July 1917. Transferred to No. 1 Auxiliary Hospital, 28 July 1917; discharged, 2 August 1917, and granted furlough to 16 August 1917, to report to No. 2 Command Depot, Weymouth.
