Embarked from Sydney, 11 May 1916; disembarked Plymouth, England, 10 July 1916. Transferred to 3rd Divisional Ammunition Column, 30 September 1916.

Proceeded overseas to France, 24 July 1916; taken on strength, 6th Field Artillery Brigade, 8 April 1917.

To hospital, 25 June 1917 (Bronchitis; gas); transferred to England, 13 July 1917 (tubercular lung);admitted to Tooting Military Hospital, 14 July 1917. Transferred to No. 1 Auxiliary Hospital, 28 July 1917; discharged, 2 August 1917, and granted furlough to 16 August 1917, to report to No. 2 Command Depot, Weymouth.

Commenced return to Australia on board 'Suevic', 27 September 1917; disembarked Melbourne, 18 November 1917, for overland travel to Queensland; discharged, 26 December 1918.
