Found guilty at Sutton Veny, 15 November 1917, of being absent without leave, 9.30 pm, 13 November, to 10.15 pm, 14 November 1917: awarded 5 days' Field Punishment No 2; forfeited total of 7 days' pay; marched into No 2 Command Depot, Sutton Veny, 23 November 1917; on command to Engineering Depot, Winchester, 29 November 1917; marched into No 4 Command Depot, Hurdcott, 18 April 1918; marched into Longbridge Overseas Training Brigade, Deverill, 30 April 1918. Proceeded to France through Folkestone, 5 June 1918; marched into Australian Infantry Base Depot, Havre, 7 June 1918; moved into the field, 9 June 1918; taken on strength of 5th Bn, 12 June 1918.
