Military Medal 'For gallant conduct and devotion to duty during action at SUZANNE on the night of 25th/26th August, 1918, and 26th/27th August, 1918. During the operations, he carried important messages from the Company Headquarters to Battalion Headquarters through heavy artillery barrages of the enemy when other means of communication were not possible. On this and other occasions he has displayed acts of special devotion to duty and fearlessness in the face of danger.'
