Military Medal 'At IMBERFAYT FARM on the 13th October 1918, this man was with a Liaison Officer at an Infantry Battalion. The area was heavily shelled for a considerable period. Many American Infantry men were wounded. This man displayed great bravery and devotion in bringing in several wounded infantrymen and in dressing their wounds under fire, persisting in his task not withstanding the heavy fire and that in the earlier stages of the bombardment he had been blown into the mouth of a dugout by a shell and very badly shaken. His determination and gallantry were most commendable.'
