Distinguished Conduct Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He displayed great dash and gallantry in the charge on the final objective, after reaching which he was especially conspicuous in capturing a large number of prisoners and in aiding in the capture of a battery of guns. His conduct throughout is worthy of the highest praise.'
