Military Medal 'During the attack on the HINDENBURG LINE on 3rd May this man's duty as Group Headquarters' Linesman kept him out constantly under shell fire maintaining communications. During the operations he went forward as Signaller and Linesman to the Group F.O.O. and acted gallantly during the whole attack keeping in close communication with the Group thus enabling Divisional Artillery to gain first hand information of the situation.'
