Military Medal 'During the advance across 'No Man's Land' on night 28th/29th July 1918 near MORLANCOURT, South West of ALBERT, this N.C.O. who was in charge of a Lewis Gun team showed great initiative and resource, firing his gun from the hip at enemy parties trying to escape thus causing many casualties. He also showed great dash and bravery rushing several enemy posts forcing the garrison to surrender.'
