Embarked Melbourne, 21 November 1917; disembarked Kantara, Egypt, 15 December 1917; embarked Alexandria, 18 December 1917; disembarked Southampton, England, 9 January 1918, and marched into 2nd Training Bn, Sutton Veny.

Charged with being absebt without leave from midnight, 7 February, till apprehended by Military Police at Temple Meads Railway Station at 7.40, 25 February 1918: charged dismissed, 27 February 1918, on production of satisfactory documentary medical evidence.

Proceeded overseas to France, 1 April 1918; taken on strength, 8th Bn, in the field, 21 April 1918.

Killed in action, 9 August 1918.
