Proceeded overseas to France, 15 October 1916; taken on strength, 3rd Australian Tunnelling Company, in the field, 23 November 1916. Re-allotted Regimental No 3605A, 10 January 1917. Wounded in action, 6 February 1918 (shrapnel wound, nose), and admitted to 2nd Canadian Field Ambulance; rejoined unit same day.
