Admitted sick to Hospital Ship, Gallipoli, 20 October 1915; admitted to hospital, Malta, 27 October 1915; to 3rd Auxilary Hospital, Cairo, 1 January 1916. Taken on strength, 50th Bn, Egypt, 2 April 1916; embarked, Alexandria, 5 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, 12 June 1916. Seconded to 13th Australian Light Trench Mortar Battery, 17 July 1916. Sick several times: local treatment. Sent on course, Brigade Training School, 16-30 March 1918.
