Military Medal 'At LAGNICOURT at dawn on 15th April, when the enemy attacked in force, Pvt. McCulloch was in a post in the outpost line. The post suffered heavily until he with L. Cpl. Blackman were the only ones left. They hung on heroicly until ordered to retire when they had to fight their way through the enemy who were now in rear of them. He volunteered many times to run messages to Company Headquarters having to pass through a dangerous zone swept by snipers and machine gun fire.'
