Wounded in action, 10/11 August 1915 (shrapnel wound); admitted to 3rd Field Ambulance Advanced Dressing Station, 11 August 1915 (compound fracture, foot and arm); transferred to Mudros, 11 August 1915; disembarked Malta from HS 'Valdivia', 20 August 1915, and admitted to St Elmo Hospital, Valetta.
