Military Medal

'For consistently brave and devoted service in the operations of 3rd and 5th October, 1918, near JONCOURT. Two platoons were separated on the left flank and were subjected to heavy machine gun fire. Private McGLINN made at least six trips between the two platoon commanders with messages without regard for the fire and so enabled them to establish a line of resistance. Later he made two trips to Battalion Headquarters with messages and in rturning guided forward parties with ammunition. On 5th October, 1918, when his company was holding a sector near MONTBREHAIN and while a counter attack was in progress he carried forward a message to an advanced post under heavy machine gun fire.'
