Admitted to Fargo Military Hospital, 16 April 1917 (bronchitis); discharged to duty, 23 April 1917; marched into 14th Training Bn, Hurdcott, 25 April 1917. Admitted to Fovant Military Hospital, Wilts, 28 April 1917 (bronchitis); discharged to 14th Training Bn, 8 June 1917. To hospital ill, 2 September 1917; admitted to Fovant Military Hospital, Wiltshire, 3 September 1917 (synovitis); transferred to 3rd Auxiliary Hospital, Dartford, 17 September 1917; discharged to No 2 Command Depot, Weymouth, 10 October 1917; taken on strength of Permanent Cadre, No 2 Command Depot, Weymouth, and appointed EDP Corporal to complete establishment, 18 April 1918; marched into Bhurtpore Barracks, Tidworth, for temporary duty, 22 May 1918.
