War service: Egypt, Gallipoli Joined Regiment as part of the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force, Gallipoli, 9 May 1915. Admitted to 1st Australian General Hospital, 19 September 1915, and transferred to 3rd Auxiliary Hospital, Heliopolis (dysentry, injury to head); admitted to No 19 General Hospital Convalescent Camp, Shabir-el-Ker, 13 September 1915; rejoined unit at the front, Warden, 14 January 1916.
