Military Medal 'For conspicuous bravery and devotion to duty at BROODSEINDE RIDGE east of YPRES on Oct. 4th, 1917. Pte. MCGREGOR went under heavy shell fire to an adjacent post for a stretcher that was urgently required, not finding one there he went from post to post till he eventually found one and returned with it. His courage was of a high order and a splendid example to his comrades.'
