Military Medal 'Was in charge of a party carrying Stokes Mortar ammunition and showed great gallantry and devotion to duty while in action near ZONNEBEKE on 26th September, 1917. He kept the Stokes guns well supplied with ammunition throughout although under very heavy fire the whole time, he was always cheerful, cool and regardless of personal danger. This work was of a very high standards.'
