Detached to 3rd Army Summer Rest Camp, 24 June 1917; rejoined unit, 8 July 1917.

Wounded in action and admitted to No 14 Australian Field Ambulance, 18 May 1918 (shrapnel wound, left forearm); transferred to No 47 Casualty Clearing Station, 18 May 1918; to No 3 Ambulance Train, 19 May 1918; to No 3 Stationary Hospital, Rouen, 20 May 1918; to England, 22 May 1918; No 1 Southern General Hospital, Stonebridge, Birmingham, 23 May 1918; discharged and marched into No 3 Command Depot, Hurdcott, 5 July 1918.

Admitted to Military Hospital, Fovant, 7 July 1918 (not yet diagnosed); discharged and marched into No 3 Command Depot, Hurdcott, 29 July 1918.

Admitted to Group Hospital, 30 July 1918 (gunshot wound, left arm).

Marched into No 2 Command Depot, Weymouth, 7 August 1918 (Class C3).
