Military Medal 'Near STRAZEELE on 12th June, 1918 Sergeant MCLENNAN was one of a party of one officer and six other ranks who volunteered for a daylight raid on an enemy trench. He killed several of the enemy himself. In company with his Officer he remained out in No Man's Land under heavy rifle and machine gun fire and covered the return of the party and also helped to collect identifications from one of the prisoners killed by the enemy bombs. By his bravery and devotion to duty he set a splendid example to the men of his Company.'
