On 6th October 1916 he transferred to the 58th Battalion and was promoted C.Q.M.S. on 1st September 1917. He has done exceptionally fine work and has always had his Company's interest at heart. At POLYGON WOOD he was wounded but remained on duty setting a high standard of courage and determination to his Company.
