Found guilty, Ferry Post, 26 April 1916, of being absent without leave from 2130 hours, 21 April 1916, until 0630 hours, 23 April 1916: forfeits 3 days' pay and is deprived of Lance strips by Commanding Officer. Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 16 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 23 June 1916. Found guilty, 28 June 1916, of (1) inattention on parade, (2) smoking when being marched to Orderly Room: awarded 0.5 hours Pack Drill by Captain G. G. Robertson. Reported missing, 20 July 1916.
