Medals

Military Medal

'For gallantry and devotion to duty near VILLERS BRETONNEUX on 3rd May, 1918. When touch was lost in the advance owing to the left being held up by wire and it was hard to see owing to the bad light, Private MILLHOUSE went out through an extremely heavy machine gun and rifle fire and got the men on the left into our line. His coolness and gallantry under very critical conditions were grand and his work most invaluable.'
