Military Medal 'This N.C.O. from 25th April - 2nd May 1915 showed the greatest daring and resource in organising parties to carry ammunition and water across open ground to the forward trenches at GALLIPOLI. His contempt for shrapnel and bullets had a marked effect on the men around him. Again at the Lonesome Pine fighting August 6th. 10th. 1915 his coolness and energy were again notably displayed in getting ammunition and bombs to the forward lines.'
